 General Information  

Saint Louis University (Spanish: Universidad de San Luis; Tagalog: Pamantasan ng San Luis) also referred to by its acronym SLU, is a private Catholic research basic and higher education institution run by the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Baguio, Philippines. It was founded on December 1, 1911, by the CICM Missionaries.


Saint Louis University offers programs at the elementary, secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels. It has campuses throughout the Baguio metropolitan area. SLU is PAASCU-accredited and one of the universities in the Cordillera Administrative Region which passed the newly mandated CHED's Institutional Sustainability Assessment. It is under the CICM Philippines School Network or CICM-PSN. It is the oldest of the CICM-PSN schools. The patron saint of the university is St. Aloysius de Gonzaga. It is the largest university north of Manila with more than 40,000[citation needed] students (elementary, high school and college combined) as of A.Y. 2018–2019.


The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has identified several of the university's graduate programs as either Centers of Excellence or Centers of Development. SLU currently has three Centers of Excellence (COEs) and eight Centers of Development (CODs).

Saint Louis University is a private Catholic university located in the city of Baguio, Philippines.


Saint Louis University is the largest university north of Manila with more than 19,000 students, it is centrally situated in a six-hectare campus in the heart of Baguio City and has more than 30 buildings.

Saint Louis University is an excellent missionary and transformative educational institution zealous in developing human resources to be creative, competent, socially involved and imbued with Christian Spirit. It is said that the northern light is one of the brightest and most wonderful phenomena of nature. The vision of Saint Louis University is to shine as the Light of the North and its alumni, through their intellectual standing and Christian spirit and Christian formation, to be the leaders of Baguio and the whole Montanosa . As the Light of the North, it also envisions to diffuse the Christian culture over the whole country

We envision the SLU Laboratory Elementary as an excellent and transformative learning institution committed to help all pupils discover, initially develop and put into effective use their God-given talents so that they will be imbued with the Christian Spirit and be competent, creative and socially involved members of the society.

JUNIOR HIGH DEPARTMENT

SLU Laboratory Junior High is envisioned as a competent, missionary and transformative educational institution committed to the formation of creative and active Christians who give witness to the gospel values through the development of their God-given talents, skills and attitudes in the service of God, Church, school, and society.






SENIOR HIGH DEPARTMENT


SLU Laboratory Senior High is committed to be a transformative socially engaged Catholic Educational Institution forming Christ centered, responsible and globally enterprising citizens through holistic human and Christian formation, collaborative learning, and academic excellence in the pursuit of justice, peace, and integrity of creation.

  Teaching methods of the teacher  Filipino teachers dress formally. They are always very professional and punctual. The classroom mainly uses whiteboards and computers. Teachers use PowerPoint to convey knowledge to students along with many other modern devices. After learning new knowledge.
